چکیده

Abstract Study question Is there any effect of laser-assisted zona drilling in improving pregnancy outcomes women undergoing vitrified-warmed embryo transfers? Summary answer Our data suggests that is evidence possible improvement rates with hatching embryos among >40 years age. What known already Mammalian surrounded by a glycoprotein shell called pellucida. The must hatch out this for it to implant the uterus. However, certain factors such as sub-optimal vitro culture conditions, advanced maternal age, zona-hardening due vitrification and warming, others, negatively impact ability escape from matrix surrounding it. Laser-assisted safest easiest technique available overcome problem artificially disrupting zona, though isn’t sufficient on whether has actual benefit or just fancy add-on. design, size, duration Retrospective cohort study comparing transfer results 88 whose underwent LAH prior control group women. Data was collected transfers took place between March 2021 December 2022. Participants/materials, setting, methods Beta-hCG (N = 88) compared without similar age clinical history. Patient indications grades were comparable across both groups. performed immediately post-warming blastocysts using 1.48 µm diode drill at point opposite ICM. analyzed independent t test chi square test. Main role chance Women groups further stratified into following sub-groups based – A (25-29 years), B (30-34 C (35-39) D ( years). assessed found be lower (57.1% vs. 78.5%) (46.4% 67.7%) control. It marginally higher (50% 47.3%). we an increase sub-group comparison (83.3% 20%). Limitations, reasons caution This retrospective, preliminary assess initial outcomes. prospective larger sample size needed confirm our frozen fresh embryos. Wider implications findings indicate does not provide advantage except possibly older above 40 years. Thus can select exact patients who would add-on offer them routinely improve their rates. The effects of laser assisted hatching on pregnancy rates

BACKGROUND For infertile women aged over 35 years, failure of the ZP (zona pellucida) to rupture is believed to be associated with a decreased implantation rate in in vitro fertilization (IVF) or intra cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). OBJECTIVE In this research, laser assisted hatching (LAH) was offered to patients with advanced maternal age to evaluate a possible benefit. MATERIALS AND ...
